Heavy Body Acrylics

The first acrylic colors offered by GOLDEN back in 1980, Heavy Body paints are known for their intense color and exceptionally smooth, rich consistency. Our formulation excludes fillers or matting agents, so the sheen varies from color to color, reflecting the qualities specific to each pigment.

OPEN Slow-Drying Acrylics

With a slightly softer consistency than Heavy Body, the increased working time of these colors expands capabilities for traditional painting techniques typically reserved for oil colors. In environments where most acrylics dry too fast, OPEN Acrylics provide a more manageable and relaxed painting experience.

SoFlat Matte Acrylics

A matte paint that has a flowing consistency, offering exceptional coverage and a leveling capability as it dries. Our formulation emphasizes opacity and saturated color, making SoFlat ideal for color field and graphic painting techniques.

Fluid Acrylics

Even, flowing acrylic colors useful for dry brush application, fine details, pouring, spraying, staining techniques and more. Fluid colors maintain the pigment load of Heavy Body colors in a more brushable, leveling, lower viscosity paint.

High Flow Acrylics

Incredibly versatile, ultra-thin acrylic paint with ink-like consistency - High Flow Colors are formulated to work with airbrushes, refillable markers, dip pens or fine brushes for drawing, staining, pouring, calligraphy and more.

Fluorescent & Phosphorescent Colors

Fluorescents are intense, brilliant colors produced from dyes surrounded by a polymer coating that glows brilliantly under black (UV-A/ultraviolet) lighting. Our Phosphorescent Green re-emits a bright, greenish glow in the dark after being charged under longer wavelength lighting.

Interference & Iridescent Colors

Iridescent colors can be used alone or with other colors and mediums for nontarnishing metallic effects. Interference colors are more transparent and utilize similar mica-based pigments to create a unique color shift when viewed from different angles.

Additives

Additives can be used to modify properties of acrylic paints and mediums by increasing drying time or increasing the flow of the paint.

Fluid Mediums

Fluid Mediums provide infinite opportunities to control and modify acrylic colors, or for surface preparations and coatings. They can be used to adjust transparency, viscosity, surface sheen and more.

Gel & Paste Mediums

Gel Mediums and Pastes are used to achieve a variety of effects and textures. Acrylic mediums can extend paints or alter the working properties of acrylic colors to expand creative possibilities.

Gesso & Grounds

Acrylic grounds, including gesso, prepare surfaces for painting and drawing in a wide range of media. WIth this range of products, artists can create and control the precise surface qualities needed for their work, and explore new or improvised supports.

Varnishes & Top Coats

Varnishes and coatings unify the surface quality and protect paintings from dust and ultraviolet light. Varnish provides removable UV protection, while coatings provide non-removable protection to extend the life of acrylic paintings.
